Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) invites online applications for Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HPTET) November 2025 from eligible candidates who intend to be teachers for Arts, Medical, Non-Medical, Hindi, Sanskrit, JBT, Punjabi, Urdu and Special Educator (Pre Primary to V and VI to XII) subjects in schools. All eligible and interested candidates can apply online at HPBOSE official website hpbose.org from 10th September 2025 to till the application last date 30th September 2025 for HP Teacher Eligibility Test November 2025.

HP TET Eligibility Criteria 2025

TET TGT (Arts) :

  1. B.A./ B.Com/ PG with at least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and 1 year B.Ed. OR
  2. B.A./ B.Com/ PG with at least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and 2-years B.Ed. OR
  3. Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.El.Ed. OR
  4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.A.Ed. OR
  5. B.A./ B.Com. with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) OR
  6. B.A./ B.Com/ PG with at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post-Graduation (or its equivalent) and B.Ed. OR
  7. 4-years degree of B.A/ B.Com. Ed. OR
  8. PG with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.M.Ed.

TGT (Non-Medical) :

  1. B.Sc. (NM)/ Post Graduate with at least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and 1-year B.Ed. OR
  2. B.Sc. (NM)/ Post Graduate with at least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and 2-year B.Ed. OR
  3. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.El.Ed. OR
  4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.Sc. (NM) Ed. OR
  5. B.Sc (NM) with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education). OR

  4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.Sc (Medical) Ed. OR
  5. B.Sc. (Medical) with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education) OR

TET Sanskrit :

  1. Shastri/ Graduation with Sanskrit/ Post Graduation in Sanskrit with at least 50% marks either in Shastri or in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and B.Ed. OR
  2. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed with Sanskrit. OR
  3. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed. with Sanskrit or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed with Sanskrit. OR
  4. Graduation with Sanskrit at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) OR
  5. Post-Graduation in Sanskrit with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and 3-year integrated B.Ed. – M.Ed OR
  6. 4-year degree of B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed. with Sanskrit.

Junior Basic Training (JBT) :

  1. 10+2 with 50% or Senior Secondary with 50% marks or Education and 2 years JBT/ D.El.Ed. OR
  2. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2- years JBT/ D.El.Ed. OR
  3. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2- years JBT/ D.El.Ed in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
  4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years B.El.Ed. OR
  5. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-years DElEd (Special) OR
  6. Graduation and 2 years JBT/ D.El.Ed, OR
  7. Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed. M.Ed.

Language Teacher :

  1. B.A. with Hindi as an elective subject and 2 years DElEd OR
  2. BA with at least 50% marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed. OR
  3. BA with at least 45% marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed. in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms & Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  4. BA with at least 50% marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed. Special Education OR
  5. Prabhakar (Honours in Hindi) with 50% marks followed by B.A. Examination (English and one additional subject) with 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. OR
  6. M.A. (Hindi) with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)

Punjabi Language Teacher :

  1. B.A. with Punjabi as an elective subject and 2 years DElEd OR
  2. BA with at least 50% marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed. OR
  3. BA with at least 45% marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed. in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms & Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  4. BA with at least 50% marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed. Special Education OR
  5. Giani with 50% marks followed by B.A. Examination (English and one additional subject) with 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. OR
  6. M.A. (Punjabi) with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed.

Urdu Language Teacher :

  1. B.A. with Urdu as an elective subject and 2 years DElEd OR
  2. BA with at least 50% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed. OR
  3. BA with at least 45% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed. in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms & Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  4. BA with at least 50% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed. Special Education. OR
  5. B.T. with 50% marks followed by B.A. Examination English & one additional subject with 50%marks and 1-year B.Ed. OR
  6. M.A. (Urdu) with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed.
